Hindsgavl Castle – Destination wedding

What a wonderful castle wedding

Niklas and Tine had decided to have their destination wedding at the amazing Hindsgavl Castle in Denmark. I knew already that the castle was fantastic and was looking forward to arriving.

Casual BBQ – lets get the weekend started

The couple wanted me there from midday Friday and I arrived at the castle under a beautiful blue sky. More and more of the guests came and the mood got merrier as friends and loved ones got together. The program for the day was getting settled in, saying hi to everyone and have a casual BBQ. The staff set up an incredible BBQ outside and quests could eat, drink and talk as much as they wished.

I took pictures of the guests, the castle itself and the surroundings. It was a true and wonderful place to get married.

Saturday started with breakfast and some information. There were some fun activities today. There was a football match for the guys and for the women came a yoga instructor. Both activities were happening at the same time and I really enjoyed photographing all the fun moments.

Time to get ready

The main event – The wedding cermony

After that the ceremony, also located outside, started. There was nervous tension and quite a long wait for the groom, but finally the bride appeared. That was a lovely moment to capture. The little children walked in front of the bride laying down flowers on the ground. The norwegian artist and best man; Didrik Solli-Tangen sang wonderfully for us under the cermony. When the ceremony was over me and the couple walked around the castle and down to the lake for some portraits. We had a fun time photographing and had already spotted some really fine locations.

Then of course; dinner and the following party. What a night! I took some pictures of the couple as well later that evening. I had to grab them while enjoying themselves in the bar; but they were sporty enough to join me for a quick shoot.

Sunday after leaving the castle we went together to a big park with a lot of tame deers. We could feed them and pet them. I got some great pictures when hanging around with the animals.
